The Poppy and Pint will be reopening for outdoor service on 12th April 2021. You can make a booking via the pub website.
Pierrepont Rd, West Bridgford, Nottingham NG2 5DX.

The Poppy & Pint, Nottingham CAMRA’s Pub of the Year in 2017, and runner up in 2018 continues to draw the crowds despite strong competition in nearby West Bridgford. The former Royal British Legion has more of a local feel to some others.
Beers are predominately Castle Rock but with plenty of interesting guests as well. Good quality food at reasonable prices is on offer all day with separate areas for dining as well as a café style bar offering coffees and cakes.
As well welcoming indoor and outdoor areas, there is an excellent upstairs function room that available for private hire as well as hosting artists such as Chris Difford from Squeeze, Nick Haywood & Dean Friedman. There are also the occasional theatre nights as well. The pub is for drinkers, diners, families and dog lovers etc. but is split into distinct areas to avoid culture clashes.

Music? Yes – a strong feature of the upstairs function room as mentioned above – meaning downstairs is relatively quiet. Along with one off gigs, there are regular Jazz and Folk clubs – as well as occasional theatre performances
Food? A full Castle Rock menu of pub grub and Sunday Roasts, along with lighter snacks and cake. Yes, cake!
People? Plenty of Lady Bay locals here – but folk travel from all over to sample the lively and friendly atmosphere. There’s parking too, if you don’t fancy the trek – including an electric vehicle charging point.
Opinion? In a relatively short space of time (since 2011), Castle Rock has built up a pub with a reputation for friendly staff and a clean environment. It ticks a lot of boxes – which is handy, because it’s quite a walk to the next decent boozer.
