Address : 40 Wilford Road, Ruddington, Nottingham, NG11 6EQ.
The best pubs are often those that keep things simple. And that appears to be the secret of success for this great little village pub. The Victoria doesn’t pretend to be something it isn’t, and the customers seem to like it.
On the bar you’ll find at least four real ales, a cosy snug to one side and a long lounge on the other, leading to a small beer garden, which gets popular in the summer.
Music? There is a sound system but on a recent visit nothing coming from it. No bad thing!
Food? Simple bar snacks but if you want anything more substantial you’ll have to seek it elsewhere.
People? A real local’s favourite, The Vic tends to attract more mature customers, though all walks of life are here.
Opinion? It’s only a short walk from Ruddington village centre, but The Vic feels more like a country pub with a loyal local following and a friendly welcome.
