Nottingham’s always had a great underground scene, and this coming May there’s a chance to explore even more of it. The City Council and partners are to stage a Caves Festival from Friday 11-Sunday 13 May, which give you more than a good enough excuse to check out the NottsNight Underground Trail.

Designed towards the end of last year, the trail features all of the city centre pubs which we know of that have caves in them. For some, you can just walk right in and experience Nottingham’s unique network of sandstone hideaways, while others require a bit of planning or booking.
